Massachusetts Approved Firearms Safety Courses OverviewThe courses I teach are the National Rifle Association Home Firearms Safety Course (LTC-007) and the National Rifle Association Basic Pistol Safety Course (LTC-002). Both course meet the minimum firearms safety training requirement for obtaining a Massachusetts firearms license. This training class exceeds the standards established to obtain a License to Carry (LTC) or Firearms Identification (FID) card in accordance with Massachusetts General Law Chapter . 140, § 131P and 515 CMR 3.00. To see a description of each course, click on the following links: At the successful completion of either course you'll be presented with a NRA Firearms Safety completion certificate, and the MA State Police Basic Firearm Safety Certificate that you'll submit with your LTC application. Additional Firearms Training AvailableAdditionally, I offer other training for those that already have a Massachusetts Firearms Permit and want basic instruction in the operation, maintenance and safe usage of their firearm and, training for those who may need to take a marksmanship test as part of the licensing process. For the classroom portion that is delivered in your home (LTC-002 and LTC-007), if the distance from Burlington, Massachusetts to your home where the course will be taught is more the 50 miles, a commuting charge of $25.00 will be included in the cost of the instruction.
